"Virovska prkačijada" is the only international festival of traditional cakes in Europe whose goal is to preserve the tradition of baking small antique cakes and save them from forgetting old recipes. It is known that Virje, as well as the entire area of Central Podravina, can boast of a rich tradition of baking "prkača" for various occasions.
Virovska prkačijada brings together world masters of confectionery and gastronomy and numerous visitors for 4 years in a row, and each is better, stronger, and bigger than the previous one.
